Everyday Care
Keep silk away from rough surfaces, sharp jewelry, abrasive fabrics, and direct sunlight.
Hand Wash Recommended
Use cold or lukewarm water with gentle pH-neutral detergent. Never rub, twist, or wring.
OR
Protect While Washing
Use the Mellowsong™ Care Bag to reduce friction and protect delicate silk fibers.
Washing Instructions
- Fill a basin with cold or lukewarm water
- Add gentle pH-neutral detergent
- Soak for 3–5 minutes
- Gently swirl — never rub, twist, or wring
- Rinse thoroughly with cool water
Machine Wash
- Place silk inside a mesh laundry bag
- Use delicate or silk cycle only
- Wash in cold water with low spin
- Wash separately from rough garments
Drying Instructions
- Lay flat on a towel and press excess water gently
- Reshape while damp
- Air dry naturally indoors
- Avoid tumble drying and direct heat
Ironing & Steaming
- Steaming is recommended
- If ironing, turn silk inside out
- Use the lowest silk setting only
- Place a cloth between iron and fabric
Pillowcase Care
- Wash every 7–10 days
- Rotate between two pillowcases when possible
- Insert pillows gently to protect seams and zippers
Sleep Mask & Scrunchie Care
- Hand washing is preferred
- Reshape after washing
- Allow elastic accessories to fully dry before storing
